Following RESPA Rules – Warning Notice from the NAR

Well, it’s finally happened!

And, it’s taken the National Association of Realtors a while to finally realize that RESPA is a real honest-to-goodness rule that affects THEM too.

So, here’s what they did. NAR issued a memo called “Following the RESPA Rules: Dos and Don’ts for Real Estate Brokers and Agents.”

I am sharing this with you so you can:

Post a link to the article on your social media pages
Copy and paste the entire article and email to your real estate agents (“I thought this article might be of interest to you”)
Send to agents who ask you to pay them to do business with you
Send to agents who you know are being paid by other mortgage companies to refer business
Send to loan officers who are paying real estate agents for referrals.
