Whoever said there were “No Short Cuts in Life”?

Parents generally instill the message that, "There are no short cuts in life." We try to teach our children not to rush chores, cheat, cut corners, copy or follow a beaten path.

Not that these aren't good lessons, but on the flip-side, when we grow up and become business owners, many of us fall into a mindset that we aren't doing a good job unless we work hard, really hard, all of the time. We are suspect of anything that looks too easy, that there, "must be a catch." Worse yet, we begin to measure our self-worth by the numbers of hours we spend grinding away at work.
