Can Women Have it All?

Gloria Steinem never said, “You can have it all!”

What she said was she didn’t think men, or society, should define women’s choices.

Right now, I am re-reading Marcus Buckingham’s book, Finding Your Strongest Life: What the Happiest & Most Successful Women Do Differently.  I come from a family that has a shorter life span than most families and there are some days that I feel that I WANT to do it, have it, and experience it ALL!  And I get frustrated not being able to do so!

Marcus (yes, we’re on a first-name basis) says the right question to ask yourself is, “What do I mean by having it all?

“Having it all does not mean having everything, all at once, all the time.  It means drawing enough strength from life to feel fulfilled, loved, successful and in control.  It means knowing what changes need to be made.  Drawing strength from relationships in your life.  It means mastering your unique skills.”

The million dollar question?  What are your unique skills?

Marcus says there are 9 of them and he’s created StongLifeTest.com.
