You should be contacting your clients on a weekly basis to give them an update. They need to hear from you, even if it is to tell them nothing new has happened and explain why.

Insider Tip: If they ask you if it is okay to give notice at their current place because you have a closing date, make sure you tell them you have every intention of closing on time, however, some things might be out of your control. Especially on the seller side or even a weather event. Just remind them you will do everything in your power but ask them if they have a contingency plan if something happens. Therefore, IF something unforeseen happens they should be better prepared.
