Those past customers can be an exceptionally large source for your referrals. Usually, referrals from a customer do not shop around as they trust their friends. In addition, they may be looking to refinance, buy a second home, rental home, or even time to move. If they do not call the same realtor, the new realtor may be using a different lender and you will not get that referral. You need to be the source of the referral in this case.
How do you shower your love on former customers?
First, you call them twice a year and check on them. The conversation is easy.
You can ask:
- How do they like the house?
- Have they done any repairs?
- Are they looking to sell? (This would be a great referral to give to a Realtor.)
- Ask about their family.
- Always ask if they know someone who might want to refinance or purchase.
