4 Ways to Identify What’s Stressing you Out
Feeling stressed? We want to help you get to the root of it in order to lead a less stressful - more successful, life!
Girlfriend, are you feeling STRESSED? We’ve been there and we want to help you fix it.
As is anything in life, before we can begin to solve the problem though, we need to identify it!
So.. what’s stressing you out? While stress looks different for everyone, here are several ways to identify your own stress triggers.
- Start Journaling
One of the best ways to begin identifying what’s stressing you out is to keep a journal to bring your triggers to your awareness. The journal doesn’t have to be one you physically write in – even pulling up a blank note in your phone or page on your desktop will do the trick! But, starting to write down moments of stress, why they occurred and how they made you feel is step #1 in identifying.
- Look at your Calendar
Time is a common stressor. Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough of it to complete all of the tasks you need to get done or feel you are running yourself ragged day in and day out? Look at your calendar. Start monthly. Where are you overcommitting yourself? What can you say “no” to? Then, dive into your daily schedule. Where and what are you spending your time on? You may be surprised to see what “time sucks” you have occurring that are actually preventing you from success.
- Identify What Is – and What’s Not – In your Control
Ahhh, control. We all want it, yet in so many areas of our lives, we don’t have it. If something that is completely out of your control (other people, the current pandemic, etc.) is stressing you out, it may be time to realize how much energy you are wasting stressing on it. On the other hand, if you have things within your control that you can do to help alleviate stress, where can you take action? Check out our blog on how hiring help/outsourcing can eliminate stress in your life here.
- Look at your Habits
Never fun to do, but especially important in eliminating stress! What do your daily habits look like? How do you wake up in the morning and go to bed at night? What happens in between? What are you eating? How much sleep are you getting? How much exercise? These are all questions to ask yourself and areas of improvement that have scientifically proven to help eliminate stress.
I hope you take some time for YOU to identify how you are feeling and how you can improve!
Take care of yourselves, girlfriends!
